Sentence
Group of words which makes complete sense is known as Sentence.

Types of Sentences
1.    Assertive or Declarative – Sentence makes a statement or Assertion.
2.    Interrogative – Asks a question.
3.    Imperative – Express a command or an entreaty.
4.    Exclamatory – Express strong feeling.

Subject and Predicate
Subject: A part which names the person or thing is known as Subject.

Predicate: A part which tells something about the subject is known as Predicate.

Parts of Speech
Words are divided into different classes, called as Parts of Speech. They are eight in number
1. Noun:  Noun is a word used as the name of a person, place or thing.
e.g. She looks cute.

2. Adjective: Adjective is a word used to add something to the meaning of a noun.
e.g. He is a handsome boy.

3. Pronoun: Pronoun is a word used instead of a noun.
e.g. Mahesh is absent, because he is ill.

4. Verb: Verb is a word used to express an action or state.
e.g. The girl gave a sweet to her cousin.

5. Adverb: Adverb is a word to add something to the meaning of a verb, an adjective, or another adverb.
e.g. He worked the sum quickly.

6. Preposition: Preposition is a word used with a noun or a pronoun to show how the person or thing denoted by the noun or pronoun stands in relation to something else.
e.g. The boy is fond of music.

7. Conjunction: Conjunction is a word used to join words or sentences.
e.g. Two and two make four.

8. Interjection: Interjection is a word which expresses some sudden feeling
e.g. Hurrah! We have won the game.
